160 COMPACT VOM
The Simpson Model 160 offers all of the performance and reliability of the 260 family in a more compact package.  This handy portable meter is ideal for gathering nulling, peaking and trend information.  The 160 comes with batteries, manual and test leads with probe tips.

270-5 & 270-5RT EXTRA HIGH ACCURACY VOM
 

This member of the 260 family has a better than 30% improvement in voltage and resistance accuracy compared to the standard 260-8 Series, perfect for more critical measurements.  DC voltage accuracy is ±1.25% full scale; AC voltage accuracy ±2% full scale; and Resistance accuracy ±1.5 º of arc.  The 270-5 comes with batteries, manual and test leads with alligator clips; the 270-5RT also includes a built-in rolltop carrying case.

884-2 & 886-2 SOUND LEVEL METERS
 

Simpson's sound level meters come in two different versions to handle virtually any noise measurement requirement: the Model 884-2 with an "A"weighted scale for simple measurements and the Model 886-2 with a choice of fast or slow response and "A", "B" or "C"weighting. All three models have output jacks for connecting to aChart Recorder. Optional calibrators are available for in-field adjustment.

Test for dangerous leakage current with the Simpson Model 228, designed to meet the latest UL, IEC, and ANSI specifications. The 228 detects both AC and DC leakage current and simulates human response at three different levels -- reaction, let-go, and burn hazard. 229-2 AC CURRENT LEAKAGE TESTER
 

Testing for dangerous small leakage currents is easy with the Simpson Model 229-2 Leakage Current Tester.  For use in appliance field service, in the lab, or in production, the 229-2 approximates the human threshold of perception in detecting hazardous AC leakage current.  The 229-2 comes with test leads with alligator clips, manual and batteries.

444 MICRO-OHMMETER
 

High accuracy and a high resolution 4-1/2 digit LCD display make the 444 perfect for testing conductive coatings, high power fuses, and antenna grounding systems. With a test voltage of only 100uV, the 444 will not "punch through" contamination or corrosion. The 444 comes with a test lead with a BNC connector on one end and a Kelvin clip on the other, manual, line cord and Ni-Cad battery for field use.

RUGGED SEAL CONTROLLERS
 
Simpson’s Model 501 is the newest addition to its insulation tester family. The Model 501 can be used for general purpose insulation tests that require voltages from 50 V to 1000 V only. Additionally, this instrument is equipped with AC and DC measuring ranges up to 1000 V. This is especially advantageous for testing devices for the absence of voltage and the discharge of capacitive devices under test. The Model 501 features a quick testing signal lamp within the test probe that serves to illuminate the work area. The signal lamp can also be used for quick Pass/Fail evaluations of insulation resistances. Minimum values for insulation resistances are present if the lamp lights up. Each tester comes equipped with built-in test probes, one alligator clip, a leatherette carrying case and batteries.

505 HIGH VOLTAGE INSULATION TESTER
 

Measures Insulation Resistances up to 1 T Ohm 
Simpson's Model 505 High Voltage Insulation Tester is capable of measuring insulation resistances from 10 kilohms to 1 teraohm with eight selectable test voltages up to 5000 V. As a safety feature, the insulation tester acts as an AC/DC voltmeter to measure the absence of voltage in networks up to 2000 V.

For added safety, the cables are permanently attached, preventing possible injury that could occur by the accidental removal of the cables. The Model 505 features automatic discharging capability of capacitive units under test and a lock-in test switch, for hands free operation. An optional guard terminal is available to minimize surface leakage errors. There are two LEDs to indicate the selected measuring range, and one LED signifying valid measurements and battery charge status. Each tester comes in a padded carrying case with permanently connected cables and test probes, 2 alligator clips and a plug-in battery module with batteries.

8455 LINE LOOP TESTER
 
Simpson’s Model 8455 Line Loop tester detects line shorts, opens and multiple ringers, DC voltages and loop resistance. It has the capability to measure DC voltage up to 100 volts and loop resistance to 2 megohms. A front panel “reverse polarity” switch is featured allowing you to change polarity positions quicker and easier than manually switching test leads when making line checks. This switch is also field replaceable thereby enabling your loop tester to be operational at all times without costly shop repairs. The compact durable construction of the tester ensures continued accuracy even under the most rugged field conditions.
TS112 RAILROAD TESTER
 
Multimeter for Railroad Servicing

Designed for today's railroad equipment, the flexible TS112 is also compatible with older technologies while offering features and functions unavailable on standard VOM's. Fewer jacks, more ranges and a comprehensive front panel guarantee the simplicity and the userfriendly structure of the TS112. The TS112 railroad tester measures parameters with greater accuracy: resistance with a Multi-Turn Ohms Adjust Control, Relay Contact On-Time without adjustment, Code Rate without counting pointer swings, On-Time with live signals as well as relay contacts, and automatic measurement of Peak Levels. Regulating the peak level is possible without constantly readjusting the Tester.

372-2 OHMMETER
 
This compact, hand-held meter is easy to use, with just one knob for selecting one of 6 resistance ranges.  It also features a front zero ohms adjust knob.  Each meter comes with battery and test leads with alligator clips.

AMP CLAMP ADAPTERS
 
Amp-Clamp current probes, used with analog VOMs provide accurate measurements of high AC and DC currents found in power systems and related control circuitry. The Amp-Clamp jaws are closed over a conductor in the circuit and the current load is indicated on the connected meter. The 150-2 has six ranges (up to 300 A, AC).
SOUND/NOISE MEASURING SYSTEMS
 
Simpson Type 2 sound level systems come in a variety of configurations to meet any of your noise measurement requirements. A complete sound level measuring system with calibration and output capabilities gives you the information necessary to comply with OSHA noise safety regulation, as well as local noise ordinances. Each system is composed of several components designed to work together as one integrated test instrument. A rugged, padded carrying case protects your investment.

Every Simpson Sound Level Meter is equipped with output jacks that will supply either an AC RMS or DC volt signal. This allows the instrument to be attached to chart recorders or other data acquisition devices.

Padded Nylon “Grab N Go” made of tough durable nylon enables VOM to be stored for quick field use ...test leads remain in panel jacks. Thick padding protects your meter investment. Molded Plastic cases have die cut foam inserts to protect meters and accessories. Ideal for labs or tool cribs. High density plastic case resists scratches and scars.
